Winfried Haas served as Lead Consultant for the building-efficiency component of Abu Dhabi’s emirate-wide Demand-Side Management programme for ADWEA (now under the DoE), representing a leading German energy services group.
The engagement assessed energy performance across more than 30,000 buildings, identified energy-efficiency opportunities and helped prioritise buildings for further investigation.

Winfried Haas contributed to Danfoss Group’s industrial Net Zero Transformation through EN 16247 Energy Audits across three major production sites in Denmark and Germany.
His work included the 250,000 m² Nordborg headquarters and production campus, alongside the Gråsten and Flensburg facilities. The assessments examined major energy systems and identified opportunities to improve energy performance and support long-term decarbonisation.
The Nordborg campus achieved Scope 1 and 2 carbon neutrality in 2022, demonstrating the scale of Danfoss’s wider industrial transformation.
